Lychee Tree Holiday Apartments - Port Douglas

The communication with the hosts was super friendly, and we got our keys even tho we arrived when the office was closed. The apartment was clean and had all the stuff we needed for self catering. And our own parking spot with a car port was super handy. Really enjoyed the pool area too, it looked nice and well kept.

the only downside was that we ran out of toilet paper and the place next door had very noisy pipes, which woke us up a few times.

Very organised, good location, clean, kitchen utensils, glasses, plates, etc. good quality.

Unit itself was a bit dated

We had an excellent stay with 4 nights at Lychee Tree in Port Douglas.

Ideal location to the centre of Port Douglas, amicable staff, everything was excellent. The room was well stocked and large in general, with great amenities.

The pool area is beautifully landscaped. Don't miss borrowing DVDs from reception for cozy nights in.

Reasonably quiet and unhassled, undercover close parking, no disturbing neighbours, Rodney's helpfulness.

Sent to me earlier had been a booking summary which misrepresented the times at which one could book in on a Saturday. However the proprietor was available when we arrived and charmingly smoothed out the discrepancy, relieving my anxiety.

Great facilities. The well-maintained pool area was also a highlight. We encountered some issues with noisy pipes from the adjacent unit, a little disruptive at times.

Staff were very helpful and friendly; good sized apartment, had proper cooking and washing facilities in apartment.

Lots of things weren't working - no TV remote control; phone not working; taps leaking, difficult to lock door by end, couldn't turn one fan off Maintenance has gotten away from owners and the apartment needed updating.

Lychee Tree is within easy walking distance to Macrossan Street &the Mirage Marina. The apartments are clean & comfortable with kitchens that are ideal for self catering. The swimming pool, bbq area is well maintained.

Spacious apartment equipped with essential amenities, including a combi oven and laundry facilities. Proximity to Four Mile Beach and Macrossan Street made excursions easy and enjoyable.

Check-in was marred by cleanliness issues, including crumbs on the couch and dirty cutlery in drawers, as well as leftovers from previous guests in the bathroom. Obtaining sufficient toilet paper for a family of five during a three-night stay proved to be a convoluted task, suggesting inconsistencies in service expectations for a self-catering setup. An inconvenient note about the hall floors not meeting cleanliness standards added further frustration to the experience.

This complex was very basic inside. Chairs in sitting area old and uncomfotable. Not of a three star standard. The swimming area was very nice. It was also a good long walk to the town centre.

Very helpful and friendly staff. All facilities present, if what basic. However, it did provide value for money.

Needs modernising. Furnitiure and equipment rather 'tired'

The Superior One-Bedroom Apartment was clean and well-equipped for self-catering, particularly helpful during my business trip. I appreciated having a spacious room with a convenient kitchen. The covered parking area added extra value. The pool looked well-maintained, although I didn't get the chance to use it. Edward was a responsive host.

Shower curtain not effective, slippery shower tiles!!! Poor nighttime lighting, stairs require improvement!!! Floating floorboards felt unsafe, bath mat definitely needed!!! Several areas that could use better attention!!!

The stay certainly was great value. I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, it was fairly clean with affable staff in explaining Port Douglas to "first-timers ". All rooms were recently renovated and budget.
